The Magnum is one car I have always wanted to like, but I just don't. :/

I've seen two of those in the space of week and all that comes to my mind is, why buy one? Firstly they are left hand drive and secondly we aren't exactly lacking super estates here. Plus with a 5.7l V8, I don't imagine they are cheap to run.

I think a better question is "why not?"

My absolute favorite car that rides on the LX platform. I very much wish I could find an R/T for the right price to replace LeSafari.

it's a shame these weren't more popular/got cut off so early in what could have been a promising life cycle.
Imagine the styling now if it kept up with the current dart and charger. Hell just make a charger wagon and there you go.
Also magnum hellcat because I know someone would say it.

The 2.7 was such a bad choice for this platform.

Its so underpowered and just terrible.

Burnouts are for high schoolers.
(I expect a drifting Magnum after a burnout now).

Agreed, even in the Sebring. Let alone a 4k lb car.

I own a mildly modded 6.1. I'll be brutally honest. I love the body style but if I could do it over again I dont know that I would have bought it. The 5.7 and 6.1 are just not durable. Yeah they will make power, but they will not last you 200k like an old LT1 or an LS. I had to have the top end of my block rebuilt at 100k. I know a guy in a local club that threw a rod at 60k. There is also a guy that posts on oppo that is getting his block replaced. Dont get me wrong I love my SRT grocery getter. Its got lots of power, just the right amount of cam lope, sounds amazing, and its actually very practical, but my eyes have been opened. This love affair will end badly in another 80k or so.

They definitely didn't come from Chryslers best period in terms of reliability
